Pitch 1 of the Grimsel Marathon. We linked together 3 routes totalling 24 pitches of climbing. One advantage is you can walk off at the end. Fairly spacey bolts. Heading down towards the second route Now on route 3. Very different climbing here. Steeper and not so slabby with cracks and holds Heading towards another overlap Overlap surmounted The final belay decorated with a shoe that someone has left behind! Lots of slabs. The climbers walk off follows the lower grassy rake and re-joins the main walking path A quick break on the walk off Our 24 pitch route finished on the boulder on top of the far right hand side peak Almost all of the route in view
