Carn na Criche - May 2015


Heading in to one of Braeriachs Munro tops. The track into Gleann Eanaich is a pretty easy cycle. Bikes dumped and now on foot. Nice low down but rather a lot of cloud up high. Cliffs on Sgor Gaoith Now onto the stalkers tracks. Quite a lot of snow remaining high up. Avoiding one of the old snow patches. Some of these were stable enough to cross, other best avoided. Normal route up to the plateau is via the col in the distance but this looks rather snowy/avalanche prone so we head up the rib to on the left. Plodding upwards View back to where we came from A few rocky steps to negotiate on the way up Windy! Hood up sunnies on Into the white Snowing and freezing now and walking on a bearing Heading back down again, somewhat less pleasant weather than on the way up!
